In 2001, Jerome Bretaudeau takes over the two hectares of vines from his father in Gétigné. Over the years, he took over other plots and finally settled in 2005 on 6 ha. the Bellevue Estate was born.
The Estate now has 16 hectares in five towns: Gétigné, Gorges, Cugand, Clisson and Vallet. Its aim: to offer both Muscadet typical of their terroirs and exceptional wines. By dint of curiosity, ingenuity, sharing, talent and a lot of work, Jérôme Bretaudeau is now recognized as one of the locomotives of the Muscadet appellation, which is reborn from its ashes.
In the heart of Muscadet, he vinifies the local grape variety (Melon de Bourgogne) but also Merlots, Cabernets, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and implements original winemaking techniques (maturing in concrete eggs, in amphoras, etc.).
Caroline Rostang and Jerome Bretaudeau will talk with you, during dinner at the table d'hôtes, about the many experiments at Domaine Bellevue. For an incredible result in the bottle: "Generous juices, straight, precise, of great purity..."
